Does anyone know a good provider for this service? Also I am a Soldier preparing to deploy to Iraq and wonder if anyone knows of any soldiers over there using this type of service or if it would even work?

Vonage offers VoIP. For Iraq though, you want to go with GSM. T-Mobile offers the cheapest international rate plans although where you live, Cingular will be your best choice. Best of luck and thank you for defending our country. :)

Yup no problem. Best of luck with your phone stuff. I have 2 friends in the Navy Seals, 1 Air Force, 1 Navy, and 1 Army and they're all over there....they better get back soon.
