i'm looking for a good program (free or paid) that would convert vob to mpeg or other forms that i can edit video in adobe premiere.

i'm trying to rip these commercials for this company from their dvd but the free programs i've downloaded thus far say cannot convert "copyright protected" dvds.

i'm trying to rip these dvds so i can edit them and put them online for the company. it would be a pain in the neck to hunt down the original person who was contracted to make these videos to get the raw videos.

do you guys know of any good programs that will convert these dvd vob files? thanks!

Are you saying that you already have the files in vob format?

If so, then any Nero Ultra with the Nero Vision plugin will do the job,
and probably with less headache than*

If not, then Dvd Decrypter plus Nero Vision.
(dvd decrypter and dvd shrink both work hand in hand with Nero)

you can rename the .vob file to .mpg and open/play it like any other mpg

simply change the extension and try to open it in adobe.

Yeah, and it's amazing how many different file types that you can do that with.

I use media player classic with the Kazaa lite codec pack. And I can drop the raw vob files right into it and mpc will play it on the fly.
