has anyone tried to setup the nic? it works fine when i boot from the cd (auto detect) but since i dont know the VMWare NIC, i cant copy the module over to my hdd and tell it to autoload. i tried dummy.o and pcnet32.o (and both fail).

    anyone have any suggestions?

    TIA

I still would like to try gentoo if I had 3 weeks for it to compile everything. :sad2:

    How do you like it?

    i love it.

u dont have to compile everything, there is a 3stage download.

but i prefer to compile from scratch, it seems to run much faster then the 3stages

I had the 3rd stage tarball and it still took too long. Maybe I will start it one night and let it go till morning. :big grin:
