It does co-witness. Just need a lower profile mount.

EOTech's sit too high so i'm not sure if the first pic was just for show or not. It's a drop in unit that uses the standard delta ring which gives you a one piece rail so you don't have to use a Larue SPR-E mount or similar.

    Owned already, immediately sold.

You have to understand that the CASV series of handguards are a kind of antiquated technology. They were initially designed for soldiers/LEs who couldn't make permanent modifications to their weapons. Basically, the CASVs were among the first rails that were freefloat and removeable, which they accomplished through anchoring to the receiver rail, kind of like the ARMS 5x SIRs.

You can do much better nowadays for a drop-in rail.

I have a DD Omega but you could get a Troy MRF-DI.

I'm actually selling the DD Omega because I recently got a DD Mk18 rail, but, it's painted, so, I dunno if you would be interested in that.

I like mine. I can use regular rings on my optic, and I don't have 500 extra rails to put plastic covers on

Well it's kind of cool looking and it seems you can add a rail at 1:30 and 10:30 which are the angles I like for secondary optics and weapon lights.

the use of while in that sentence would imply that he had something negative later on to say.

example: while it's kind of cool looking and it seems you can add a rail at 1:30 and 10:30, the other features suck dick

however, he did not do that. his whole post was positive.
