vlc really choppy

    ive downloaded a bunch of HD movies and im trying to watch them on my MBP (2.16cd/2gbram)and its being really choppy... theres nothing else running either... any suggestions on how to correct this?

    im not gonna lie.. there may have been porn... but mostly zombie movies...

    didnt really help... still choppy... is it because the files are like 8gb?

    can someone come up with a comprehensive media player FAQ? it seems like i have a different player for each video type and its a pain. also theyre all choppy and cant keep up with skipping ahead or fast forwarding... this is for normal sized porns.. i mean zombie porn... i mean movies

    Huh, thats a good idea...

    Here is what I use... I used to use VLC for everything, but lately, QT PRO has been working great for me... the only thing I prefer about VLC is the fact that you can increase the volume to 400%...

    VLC
    Quicktime PRO
    Perian
    DIVX
    Flip4Mac WMV

    seems to work a bit better... just have to let them buffer... which can take a while when its 8gb
