Really? It crashes all the time on all of my machines plus the couple dozen I had it running on in the Apple labs at Apple HQ. Great program but it's very crash prone.

vlc would crash on me in leopard at the end of videos or if i quit out in the middle of a video. in tiger, it was rare and random...
hopefully this new version fixes those issues...

not a joke at all, i have literally never seen VLC crash.
maybe it don't play any weird types of video.
mainly just avi, wmv, and quicktime stuff. occasionally a .mkv file or other HD format videos.

this updated version of vlc just crashed on me. is it really that hard to fast forward a .mpg file and not crash?

I have absolutely no problems with VLC :dunno:

I don't think it's ever crashed since my last install several months ago

EDIT: FYI I'm running 0.8.6c :dunno:

VLC doesn't like to play VIDEO_TS files either. After a while if you fast forward it stops the sound. Quit the application to restart it and you get the message the the application unexpectedly closed.

I've never had VLC crash one me :dunno: but I do like the new version. Not too much different to me, but the Full Screen fade.

I meant to say transition to full screen. The fading to dark is annoying.
