VLC is the only app on my mac which constantly crashes. I'm looking for something more stable, like Windows Media Classic that came with k-lite codec pack. Oh and quicktime = utter shit. No full screen unless you pay $30 and then no playlist :ugh:

i like VLC b/c it puts the volume at 400%. think i dislike, is if i plug my laptop to the tv, only way to get full screen w/o the title bar is by mirroring the displays. mplayer displays full screen to the second monitor.

haven't really tried QT, but i was able to get the pro serial by google :squint:

is there a way to goto full screen with quicktime when the video is embeded in a webpage? I'm tired of waiting for it to download, save, open, fullscreen

in for vlc update, hope it fixes some stuff. i opened/forced quit an xvid 4 times today before it actually played in vlc

as for quicktime, i used to use it for most stuff and i have all the popular codecs installed, however some xvids/ffmpegs are only video and no audio when opened in quicktime pro...but they work fine in vlc :dunno:

+1 for niceplayer, dang thats pretty ....nice!

downloaded the update for vlc. maybe it's just me, but it seems to open up in about 4 less bounces, much quicker. also, hasn't crashed on me yet :x:

    nevermind, it just crashed

VLC and Mplayer have been OK for me. QT itself is useless, get QT Pro then it's ok (not great). I still haven't found a video player for my Mac that I really like though.

Testing out mplayer, it crashed once but seems to be working ok besides that. The only complaints I have are the lack of apple remote support and no controls when in full screen. One thing that I love is instead of selecting the output display I just move the window over to the external monitor and it goes full screen to it

I found the alternative. Niceplayer fucking ownz! Maximizes just like I want it to, has playlist, works with apple remote. If stability is good I will be using it from now on :hsd:
