I've got this annoying problem that I haven't been able to find a solution to. Maybe someone here can help.

I'm using Vista Media Center, I start playing some songs and put on a picture slideshow. Unfortunately, because my watched folders include a good deal more than I want, the Media Center starts playing audiobooks and throwing all kinds of stupid pictures into my slideshow that it's pulling from who knows where. Removing the watched folders from MCE is not a problem. However, even though the folders are no longer being watched, all of the media seems to permanently be a part of MCE. I can't find any way to remove it short of moving/deleting the files on my HD.

This is crap. Why can't I just add an MP3 folder, add a picture folder and be done with it?

    argh!

    1) Create desired music playlist in WMP
    2) Open folder with pictures
    3) Start playing playlist
    4) Start slideshow from picture folder
    5) ??????
    6) Profit

Or, buy an Xbox 360 and you can do the same thing.

Uninstall Vista until service pack 1 comes out first Q next year. And even then let someone else test it for you before your reinstall it
