My two options right now are my flimsy (but sessy :naughty:) wire-framed glasses or contact lenses.

Should I get a sweet pair of birth control glasses like this dude?

When/if the shit hits the fan, I doubt you'll care what your glasses look like. Function over form.

Thank goodness my astigmatism is only -0.8 in both eyes. If something were to happen, I'd be fine without my glasses. Hell, I thought my vision was perfect for the longest time until I finally tried on my first pair: I noticed additional details, but it was fairly similar for the most part.

    Bring it on, zombies.

The only problem I have when shooting with my regular prescription glasses, is having a hot shell fall behind the lens. Its happened only twice, but it hurts like a bitch and leaves a little sear mark just below my eye. Luckily my vision isnt that bad so most of the time I wear the full on target glasses.

I wear glasses. being in the navy, I'm on a list to get lasik done for free. they just have to do all the pilots and seals first. I think the wait is like 5 years.

    but free lasik :eek5:

I had one get close today. Wearing a ball cap keeps a lot of them off your face.

I have about 10 spare pairs of contacts that would last me several years, if it was really needed. I should get some backup glasses though. Hopefully I'll get my lasik in the next year or two though.

Oh shit, I forgot that my shooting glasses are specifically made with my prescription... and they're tough little motherfuckers.

Yeah i try to wear one as often as possible when I shoot. My p220 shoots out brass with such force that some of the bouces are beyond comprehension.

I don't know what shtf means to you but I recall reading several reports of people around the towers after 9/11 reporting problems with their contacts from all the dust in the air.

Anyway I wear 30 day continual wear contacts. They're nice. I won't risk eye surgery at this time.
