Discussion in 'OT Technology' started by Ashmar_Hendrix, Sep 18, 2004.

  1. I have the AVG virus scanner trial version and yesterday I ran a scan and it says I have the following virus: Trojan Horse Downloader.Lookme.A
It does not show any way to eliminate it, and I don't know what to do to get rid of it...someone please help me. It would be greatly appreciated!!

Does it at least tell you the location of the file? If so, find it and delete. It's been a while since I've used AVG, because it kinda sucks. It detects viruses, but doesn't get rid of them. Just tells you where it is and leaves it up to you. That's how I remember it anyway.

You can also try out TrendMicro's Housecall at their site. It autocleans any definitions on your computer if it can.

As strange as it might sound, let Ad-aware and Spybot have a go at it.

Trojan virus = very bad You may end up having to reformat your computer. Would prolly be the best thing to do.
