Virtualization on Intel Macs! WinXP INSIDE of OSX @ Near Full Speed!

    I'm installing WinXP right now and its nearly as fast as the install on my BOot Camp partition!

    Its up and running ... but definately slower than running it natively. It is MUCH faster than Virtual PC ever was -- but its nothing like running it at full speed.

    its clear to me that the hypervisor is not a full hypervisor solution -- and only optmizes the system somewhat. it seems like its mos slow during hard drive activity..

    ok, so you can run windows on a linux machine
    you can run windows and linux on an osx machine
    you can run linux on a windows machine

    right? or did i screw something up

    I got this emulator running last night... it was pretty quick. I wasn't able to do anything with it since it doesn't have wireless networking support yet, so now I have a 5GB disk image of Windows XP which lets me... well, play Solitare is all.

    actually wireless works fine -- just set yoru ethernet adapter to go to en1 instead of en0..

    EDIT: Just VNC'd home and tried it... didn't work. Do I need to setup Windows a specific way?
