 fatties are joining the army and doing what they can to leave because they're too soft, so army modifies basic training

lol, kind of ironic when you think about it, making a video game to recruit people then all you get are fatties

 there's a kid that went to my school last year and he's easily 300+ lbs. There was a RTS tournament (I wanna say Command and Conquer) that was hosted by the army and the top 50 winners were offered recruitment packages to west point. the kid I'm talkin about came in at 30 something and received endless calls from the army and marines about joining as an officer. I can only imagine what the number one guy got for treatment :rofl:

This is what they get for using video games as a recruiting tool and tricking people who have no place on the battlefield into joining the military. Just because someone likes video games does not mean he's a soldier. Now they've got a lot more fatties, pussies, slackers, and people who straight up don't want to be there that they have to train to fight in a hostile environment. The military are just fucking themselves in the end.

why not grow muslims in tanks, then we can hook our soldiers up to them and remotely control them and infiltrate al-qaeda and figure out where their weaknesses so we can drill for oil better?

Because you're broke, just got kicked out of your momma's house, got no job, got no car, what the fuck else are you going to do? Most people I know who joined the military did it at low points in their lives when they thought it was their only choice. Shit I almost joined the military when I was eighteen because my life was boring (still is) and I wanted to travel, but I'm so glad I didn't join. :wiggle:

... or you just lack motivation to do something with your life.

That's also true with a lot of people. Many join the military because they'll think it'll motivate them and build confidence, character, and all the other crap they tell you in the commercials.

I think if you approach it with the right mindset, it can teach you a lot of valuable tools for later in life, during the zombie invasion. But its all mentality. If you're broke, have no car and your prospects look dim, work at taco bell. That'll shape your ass up. :o

I remember reading an article on the army changing it's routine a few weeks ago. Thought they changed it more for the reason that it's outdated versus a bunch of fatties rolling in. Article said they were still doing bayonet training even though they haven't used them in over 30 years, plus the training was for more all out war than the stuff they are dealing now in the middle east.

I was talking with a recruiter the winter of 08... he mentioned that they were extending basic by another week...

... if I had joined, my 40k school debt would've been paid for. :eek3:

The British did a bayonet charge in Basra when they started running low on ammo after an ambush. They killed 30+ Mahdi army fighters (who freaked the fuck out) without a single injury. Shock and awe motherfucker.
