OK, so i've got virtual PC, the program that allows u to use windows on ur mac. I've got windows XP pro for the virual PC. i've already done the download, setup, and everything else.
But, it runs like SHIT> i mean, this thing is like un bearably slow. It takes like 20 seconds to get a single program window open.
I only need this for my psp homebrew.
So, is there anyway that i can alot a certain ammount of my ram or processor speed to it? I've only got 386 MB of ram, and an iBook G3 900MHz. 40 gig HD, with like 10 gigs free.

Please help me. When i'm running virtual PC, i never have any other programs running, besides finder. Also, is it possible to boot it using virtual PC, and not even have finder etc running?

    Thanks
    Peter

For less than you paid for VPC, you could have picked up a used PC that would be 10x faster.

yeah, i wasnt aware of that when i got it, and it was kinda a spur of the moment thing when i was at the mall.

THe guy there said i might be able to play games like counterstike (lmao, yeah right) and can deffinatly run apps like word etc (which i barely can, because of the lagg)

It runs halfway decent on a fast Powerbook or G5 with enough memory to throw at it. Definitely not going to win any speed records, but is fast enough for the couple programs I occasionally use it for.

Dog slow on my G4 1.33Ghz iBook.

VMWare runs much faster on my PC. Part of this has to do with the hardware architecture that's being emulated.
