    It's amusing to me how people who live in comfort and security can sit back and cluck their tougues about alarming concerns over vigilantism.

    And all this without a trace of irony.

    When the authorities cede their responsbility, who is supposed to provide.

    Or were we supposed to just wring our hands and wail about how no one is taking care of us.

    Pathetic.

    Yah, seriously. Once you look at it, government is pretty ineffective.
    It took FEMA 5 days to get water to the super dome.

    I was in Houston when Ike came through. The mayor was practically begging "neighbors help neighbors" because government just couldn't take care of the people that pay it!
