    Idownloaded a vid off a website and when i try to play it says "could not open file 03videoHI.html because it is not a file that quick time understands" So i clicked on properties and the type of file it is HTML is there anyway i can fix this or am i up shitscreek :wtc:

    Have you tried looking inside the HTML file for the actual video file. It could be a streamed video which will take a little bit more work.

    Open up My Computer
    Tools
    Folder Options
    View Tab
    Under Files and Folder Options
    -Hide extensions for known file types == make sure its unchecked.

    =======

    Make sure its not named like 'video.mpeg.html' or something.

    Could be that, or it could be that when trying to download the video you accidentally downloaded an Error 404 page.
