K, last night I removed a sound card from one of my comp's, and relocated my video card to the slot where the sound card was previously located. Hooked it back up: no video. So I opened her back up, returned the video card to the slot it was in before: no video (VGA or DVI). Finally I removed the card all together and tried the mobo VGA: no video. I'm guessing the video card is dead, and the mobo VGA isn't working because I uninstalled the drivers for it when initially installing the video card??? Help :sadwavey:?

    you would guess incorrectly, then.

Driver installation affects only while operating within Windows, and you can never really uninstall all video drivers, as even after removing a card-specific driver, Windows will revert to a default VESA driver to facilitate basic operation. Likewise, windows drivers have zero effect outside of the operating system, so getting to BIOS requires zero driver support from windows.

you fucked something else up. Most likely a result of static discharge. Ensure everything is seated properly and reset CMOS.

Reset the CMOS, plugged everything back up. Ran VGA from the MOBO.. no video. Everything appears to be fine except video. :hsd:

    possibly fried the card

learn to properly ground yourself and the chassis before disassembly.

All fans are running, dvd drive opens/closes, all lights are coming on and normal. WTF, could it a jumper setting or something?

I've given you your options. If you don't believe me, go pay someone to take a look at it.

Where did I say I don't believe you? I took all your pompous curt suggestions. Thanks for the help, cock.
