I will bench 600 in this shirt in the near future

525 with no touch - I smoked the weight up but the spotters grab it at the top. I'll be taking 545 for my third attempt next week

Not bad! what do you weigh? how much can you do raw? im on a "slimming down phase" since i porked up to 330 with time off gym.. last time i went " heavy" was at around 300 with 455x6.. im hoping to get down to 275 and be stronger.. maybe going for a 550 Raw at 275.. but several ppl told me to put on a shirt and go for Max..

how much does the shift REALLY help?

there are some claims that people are getting 200lbs out of a shirt

I'm about 285 right now, I compete at 275, but I'm staying 308 for this meet just to get my 500 in competition under my belt.

I'd recommend maybe a loose shirt for your work. thats some big weight to be handling raw - even if it isnt for carryover, the support is good.

you would be easily into the mid-high 6's with some training in a shirt.

    where in TX are you?

Looks good man, stay TIGHT though. I get over 200 out of my shirt, but remember, part of a big carryover is usually because the raw bench isn't trained as much.

    Don't be timid, SFW.

sweet. What do bench shirts and other like gear do? I'm pretty much completely unfamiliar with the whole power lifting segment.

    i had no idea, either..

    just googled

it's kind of what i figured after watching CPop's video, since his arms are sticking straight out.. seems like it forces your arms forward beacuse of the angle/cut of the shirt + thickness of the material..

The shirt of course gives you some support, but I'm doing the zombie walk because I don't want the shirt to move at all prior to me starting the lift. I could lower my arms a lot more than I am, as evidenced by the way I exit vs. enter.

Yeah you blasted it up, once you get weights to touch you're gonna have some good times.

I want to play with a 2-ply shirt but I think I should master the single ply first :p

Hey Maine.. how far down did you have the shirt? Just curious. Looked like it came up nice and fast.
