So they only got my bench and DL on video. I want to know why my second DL attempt was flagged as no good, it didn't feel heavy really. Any advice would be appreciated.

Damn, you made that first deadlift look easy. Nice.

You seem to use a pretty wide stance for a conventional puller.

yeah, I was dissapointed bc the weight didn't feel heavy. I just put my legs where they feel comfortable.

yeah the way youre deadlifting right now its a slight hitch every lift its like you pull it then let it hang there for a second and then push the hips through. dont know if that would pass everywhere. and for raw bench your decents probably a little too slow

well, the basics have been covered here already but...

    - speed up the decent on your bench - have it under control, but keep it quick. you arent benching in a shirt, so the decent shouldn't be that slow

    - you gotta fix your stance for pulling. pick conventional or sumo, not a hybrid. you are new enough where some stance modification isnt going to fuck up your lifting. You have a hitch in all three pulls, it was only called in the middle one.

Bring your feet in, bring your arms in - you are basically using a snatch grip, moving your hands in will help you. You are pulling like Mike Ruggeria - but Big Mike developed that pull afters years of experimenting. Stick with a normal conventional pull, then fuck with it in a few years

I'm surprised they gave you the third DL.

so is there anything wrong with a hybrid stance or do you think this is what is causing the hitch? How do I get rid of it? Just practice not having one?

Get rid of what? Are you talking about the stance or the hitch?

Just bring your feet in to get rid of the stance, I used to pull conv with my feet kinda wide and once I brought my feet in closer I've made huge progress.

As far as the hitch is concerned just get stronger and concentrate on not doing it while training.
