I was wondering what good video encoding applications for editing/splitting .avi and .mpeg files are available for OSX. Possibly something like TMPGEnc, but also works on a Mac.

    Many thanks in advance :bigthumb:

Wouldn't Final Cut do what you need? Like it's suppose to be top end and stuff..

He's probably looking for something that doesn't cost $999 though. Do you want something to edit the video, or to just encode them like tmpegenc?

I'm looking for something that works just like TMPGEnc, if possible. My friend just wants to split up small .avis and .mpegs so he can burn them to disc.
