    yeah haha. "position before submission" is something a lot of instructor scream at their white belts, so I can see this video not being held in such high regards... but I think that it also has a lot of unorthodox stuff in it that can definitely add a lot to ones game

    does he compete in grappling tournaments, and if so how does he do?

    He is a brown belt in bjj according to the video, and is the current titleholder for his weightclass in DEEP. Not sure how he does in pure grappling, but he has submitted good black belts in mma like george gurgel.

    hes not very good in sport bjj.. you can find one of his matches on google.. he seemed to just let the guy pass his guard like 10 times, and then not try to get his guard back.. score was ilke 22-0 or something ridiculous.

    yeah the sliding heel hook is sexy, not something i see myself actually doing anytime soon :hs:

    Yeah all that cowboy stuff is really cool, but it seems like it would be a bad strategy in high level bjj competitions.
