Any reputable online retailers besides Adorama and B&H? I'm searching for a deal on a used Canon XL2.

Jcolman, have you worked with an XL1 or 2? How would you rate the differences? Resolution and what not. I know what the numbers are, I'm interested in your personal experience.

I've only worked with the XL 1 on one shoot and the camera belonged to someone else. I didn't much care for the viewfinder however my experience is all in higher end equipment so I'm a bit jaded. However the images I've seen from the XL1 are pretty damn amazing.

If you're looking for HD cameras, I'd also suggest the JVC HD100U. One of our guys has one that he's shooting a documentary with and the images are outstanding.

Nah, I can't go HD. I don't have the need actually, for the simple things I do...live events & weddings. I have a Pano DVX-100B and I need something of similar image quality, but with ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!

Damn, I'm so tempted to pull the trigger on that thing. I could really use it, but that money was for something else...

Let you know in a few days?

It's not my camera. I found it on my local CL. I'd be happy to pick it up for you though. However I'll be out of town from the 8th thru the 28.
