So i have a Dell Inspiron 8200 and it has a NVIDIA GeForce4 440 Go video card. The problem is apparantly it doesnt support OpenGL cuz anytime i try to run a game that uses OpenGL it fails to load the game up. It works fine with other games such as WoW but anything that runs with OpenGL doesnt work. So i was wondering if there were a way to upgrade video cards for laptops? TIA for the help.

So basically there is no way to run games that utilize OpenGL on this laptop, correct?

unless you can set them to software decoder rather than hardware. but then it would look absolutely horrible.

so i wouldn't even bother. keep in mind, laptops (except in rare cases) aren't designed to run games.

Nvidia is a big OpenGL supporter and from the looks of it, the Geforce4 Go has OpenGL support...or at least the optimizations for OpenGL. I'd refresh your driver and give it another try though it may still suck, it should at least be able to run the game.
