So, I guess it's been an eternity in terms of a computer life, but I had my current computer built a couple of years ago.

It has an AMD FX-60 Processor, 2GB of ram, and 2 512mb GTO 7900's running in SLi.
Still runs current games pretty well on decent settings, but I'm starting to notice it doesnt feel quite as bad ass anymore.

My question: is there a video card out there right now that will perform better then both my 7900's with my current setup? or is it pointless..... and almost time for a whole new setup.

    Werd.

    old 8800GTX > those 7900GTO SLI
so the 9800GTX+, the GTX200 series, and ATI's HD4000 series,... would destroy your 7900s
also, iirc,... the 7900s are DX9 only

that FX-60 is old. it was winning against the Intel Pentium Ds, but got pwned when Conroe and the more modern Athlons came out.

imo, it's time for a new setup

    this

I would just wait and save up for a new setup... otherwise, you could buy the video card now and slowly just piece a new setup together over time. PCI-Express video cards aren't going anywhere, so it wouldn't hurt to buy one now, and move it to a new motherboard/cpu when you get them.

My single Radeon HD4870 handles anything I throw at it, including Crysis Warhead, at maximum settings, and was only $200
