Doing a rebuild on my pc. need to find a new card. i play pc games alot and looking for a very nice card for them.

Question, what is the difference between pci express and pci express 2.0?

im trying to find something on tigerdirect (have corporate account going to use with them) from $0 - $200 range.

anyone have opinions on either of these? i had been looking at a card on there, but can't find it anymore :(

PCIE2.0 has more bandwidth than 1.0, but no current video card fully utilizes the bandwidth available with PCIE1.0, so there really is no difference. Plus, the slots and cards that say they support 2.0 are backward compatible with 1.0.

The 8800 is a better gaming card than the 8600, but for under $200 you should be looking at the ATI HD4850.
