What do you think about the Radeon 3870? Also...Nvidia is coming out with the 9800 series...is Radeon coming out with something new to compete with that?

either save your money and go nvidia or stick with what you have now. ATI has nothing worthwhile.

The 3870 runs very close to the 8800GT, is available, cheaper, quieter and uses less power.

It all depends on your budget, if you need to upgrade right now and what you want to do with it.

I'd go with an 8800GT (Specifically EVGA), so when the 9800 comes out, you can do the EVGA step-up program for it (Send in your old 8800GT back to EVGA and pay the price difference between the 8800GT and the 9800). But like the previous poster said, it depends on your budget.

    Besides, ATI < nvidia

i think I read something is coming out dec 3rd. If its not their next gen cards, then as people said go with the 8800gt and step up. That is what I'm thinking about doing.
