Is more memory on a video card more important...i have a ati hd 2600xt with 512mb and i was thinking is it worth it to change it to the geforce 8800 gts 320mb...oh btw is my 500 watt power supply enough for the 8800?

it is important, but only to a point. many other things about the video card matter more for performance.

Thermaltake isn't in my top 10 PSU's I'd want list, but they are pretty decent, so you should be fine with an 8800GTS as long as it puts out at least 26amps on the 12v rail.

cleankutazn, try to stick to a brand like OCZ, Sparkle, Coolermaster or PC Power & Cooling. Just get one that has more than 26 amps on the 12v rail and you will be good. DON'T cheap out on a power supply, it's the last place you need to be trying to save a couple of bucks.
