    As someone who tests and quals video cards and drivers for a living I would go with that card.

    It will run everything out today. Even plays Crysis well. Only thing it doesn't have is DX 10 support - but IMO it would be best to wait for the next gen of DX 10.1 cards before going that route. That card will play everything out - anything more and your wasting your cash.

    His motherboard doesnt have PCI-e. Next time I go to his house I'll take it apart. I'm pretty sure its just an AGP board, or PCI board.

    I hate my 8600 GT XXX. It performs a tad bit better than my old 7300LE. Wasn't worth the $130. :(
