My friends car.. this is from sunday. Hopefully the Spec V guys got a vid of me running too (the only one they've posted so far is me missing 2nd and running my only 15 second pass of the day :wtc: )

GT was an '01 5spd with Intake, longtubes, and a pretty open exhaust. Was running MT ET streets (I'd call em slicks :hs: ) and running 12.8-12.9s all day.

WRX has Cobb ECU, STi Injectors, v34 turbo and 3" TBE. Very well modded

    Cliffnotes on race:

They were within half a tenth on their R/Ts (-.02x vs .02x), both 1.8x 60's, and the rest you can see. Best race of the day :coold:

I  his WRX. There was a guy there who ran [email protected] with his '04 WRX with CAI and BOV :ugh: :ugh: :ugh:

MT ET Streets (Radial tyres) are COMPLETELY different to bias-ply construction of slicks....

It's kinda like comparing Ford GT40 vs. a Neon :)

I was like "dude, 88mph trap aint normal. My neon traps 92"

Matt (WRX above) said he'd put money that he doenst break out of the 15s. I didn't beleive him :eek4: apparenly BOV & CAI are horrid mods for WRXs :hs:

Actually, let me change that analogy to:

It's kinda like comparing a Viper to a Neon. Just because they're the same company, doesn't mean you can categorize the Neon in with the Viper.

good race i think the wrx needs to learn how to launch. 1.86 is what it looked like on the board. Those should be down in the 1.7's good race non the less

Jesus. That was uncalled for. What a dickhead.

My mistake, ET Streets are full slicks. 2-ply wrinkle wall design... I was thinking of the Sportsmans which ARE a radial, TRUE street tyre, which I was looking at for using on the street... They're what I consider "street" tyres... Not sure why ET Streets are labelled that if they have no tread pattern and are a full slick

Well you used HUGE letters for your INCORRECT post, thought I could do the same for a CORRECT response :big grin:

Actually the ET street has a slightly stiffer side wall and has "treads" (the slices down the tire) that are DOT legal :big grin:

iv ran two mustangs in that bodie style both with street ets and they were only pulling mid 1.8's to my mid 1.7's.. Probably driver error , but yea the stangs should be alot lower with street ets. 1.7's are easy in awd.. 5.5-6k ease out on the clutch.. thats about it. :bigthumb:

actually the sportsman "street" tires are bias ply as well...

Also the rubber compound in the et street is a bit harder than in the et drag...
