is this possible? at glance, I thought it was a DVI input. So i went to best buy and got a VGA to DVI converter piece. Just came back to work and tried to hook it up, and found the connection is not DVI, but HDMI. :squint:

forget it, i am going to buy a new monitor.. issue is the connection looks just like DVI, but does not have the slot for the slot pin. So I am thinking it is HDMI?

does'nt look like an hdmi connection either, it is white, tons of holes for tiny pins, no slotted pin

No, both DVI-A and DVI-D have the slot.

HDMI does not look like DVI, at all.

Is it a Sun or SGI monitor?

It might be the connector used with a breakout cable for dual VGA or DVI monitors. Pretty common on OEM cards in my experience.

Sounds exactly like the NVidia card in my Dell .. I have pics and a hand full of convertors if you want ... ATI had a similar one but it looked like DVI ...
