very quick question about picture editing

    hi if i blacked parts of a .jpg picture in microsoft paint, is there anyway for somebody to edit the picture and "uncensor" it?

    Not as far as I know. Saving an image as a jpeg flattens any layers you might have had (Paint doesn't have layers anyway), so they can't just remove the black section alone - it is all one image. Also, if you open a saved picture, the jpeg format doesn't let you use the undo command to undo changes made before the picture was saved, like, for instance, newer Word documents allow.

    I think you are pretty safe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

    Royale With Cheese is right. Once you cover part of that image with something else and save it, there's no way to see what is under. Now bastardization is another thing altogether... :)
