Is it possible to get a smartphone to use with Verizon service and not have to upgrade to using a data plan? I would like to use the phone as a phone around regular areas but use its internet capabilities while in just areas with WiFi and not pay the extra 50 a month for Verizons crap data plan.
    Can do or not?
