So I'm getting my first phone soon when my parents switch plans to Verizon. I'll probably have around 150 for the phone. Right now I'm looking towards the Kyocera KX2. Input would be appreciated. Any better alternatives?

Also...why doesn't Verizon have MP3 tones available? It kinda sucks.

Well, kyocera's are notorious for their quality control problems. the first slider was returned so many times we stopped selling it (used to work there). I'd recommend the vx6100, or the 7000, both of which can be had for about that much. Samsung a670 is also a nice camera phone.

Avoid the Kyocera, I do work there and they are still crap. The LG 6100 and 7000 are good choices. You might also consider the Motorola v710. Moto seems to have all the bugs worked out of them now, although they are reaching end of life. If you can fiind one they are a good deal at current pricing.

hhhmm. Well it looks like I am leaning towards the 7000 now. What all do I need to use mp3's as ringtones...A data cable I assume?

OK, just got the lg 6100. I read somewhere about putting mp3's on the phone by e-mail, but you have to rename it, then replace the original name once on the phone. I can't find this article again. Can someone please explain this to me?
