Today I received a Venus DS3 External Enclosure and a Seagate Barracuda 320gb SATA drive. After installing the HD into the enclosure I decided to power it up and test it. Well, first thing is that I have Windows XP (should require no driver installation) and the "Add New Hardware Wizard" appeared to install drivers. I let it run automaticly and it could not install properly. I went to the website (CD came with it is only for 98se) and downloaded the Windows XP drivers. Same result. Anyone have ideas?? Does the drive have to be formated before I placed it in the enclosure or should I be able to format it in the enclosure as I was planning?? I am posting here while I wait for a response from AMS Electronics (I get the feeling I am going to just end up having to send the case back... sucks b/c I think my master HD is dying).

Not sure what the problem could be.
