Venting: what a shitty couple of weeks in the gym

    The last few weeks I've been weaker, and have no energy. I think it's a combo of reduced sleep due to my job + lowering my carbs to about 100g/day. Either way I just feel like shit lately, no so much out of the gym but while I'm there my muscles ache early in my workouts, I fail earlier, and am not putting up as much in weight or reps. I've had these little dips before but It's still frustrating because I feel like I'm not getting any workout when I'm doing so bad, even though I'm at failure point and ache :hs:

    You guys have off weeks like this? I might kick my carbs back over 300g a day, I dropped down so much because my cut isnt going as well as I had hoped.

    i feel for you man, soon as i started grappling, my lifts all went down and i ache all the time
    how much weight have you lost on your cut so far

    I feel you. This is my third week back in the gym and Im still trying to get to where I used to be.

    Ive become stronger in some areas from working over the summer, e.g. I can front squat and GM more weight (havent pulled conv. or done normal squats yet since i.m trying to work on my weaknesses), but I just cant handle the same intensity as I used to.

    Yesterday it took me like 5 minutes between a few of my sets to be able to breathe right and see straight again. It caused me to end my workout and after i left i caught my breath and realized i was able to finish my workout so I went back in and did 3 sets of RDLs. Not to mention the fucking hundred or so stairs on the way to the weight level.

    and Im also torn between dedicating this semester to getting my lifts up or struggling through while starting kickboxing, bjj.

    Maybe I'm just weak minded, My first off week in over a year is coming up in 5 weeks :x::x::x: all I'm gonna do is cardio and yoga classes for the week, I'm going to work on my flexability while my body heals for a week.

    are you going to compete or just do it for fun?
    if you are planning on just doing it for fun, keep in mind that it wrecks havoc on muscle mass

    That's happened to me a couple times. I take a week off to take care of shit then hit the gym full force. Today was my first time back in the gym in 5 days (I go 6x a week) and I set a new PR in incline bench, flat bench, lat pulldowns, bent-over rows, and almost deadlifts :)

    just for fun, really. I need hobbies not related to my major, weightlifting, or getting trashed.

    And yeah I know thats why I'm so torn between them.

    constantly, and I want to stop. I have thursday friday saturday off work every week, and alot of party friends. I'm actually going out tonight so I have to wait to check on this thread.

    I will start a cycle in 5 days :hsugh:

    But honestly, I'm only going to take the clen untill it runs out, I have some left from my first order I made long ago. I've considered looking into IGF-1 lately... But I dont want an insulin gut.
