Velasquez, Carwin and Lesnar, the first three guys Fedor would likely fight in the UFC, have a combined record or 21-1. Their combined competition pales in comparison to the fighters Fedor has beaten in his career.

Brett Rogers win over Arlovski puts him way ahead of those three guys in WAMMA HW title contention.

Throw in guys like Overeem and Barnett and it is clear that Fedor has gone where the proper top competition is fighting.

And the idea of a Couture or Mir lasting more than a round versus Fedor is laughable. Both of those fights would be ridiculously lopsided.

There are no other remotely compelling UFC HW matchups.

You think you can come in here with your 180 posts and just post a gif and expect people to know or care what sort of point you are trying to make?

Overeem is the most realistic threat outside the UFC for Fedor. Lesnar is the fight everyone wants to see.

In just 5 mma fights and over 100 collegiate wrestling matches...Lesnar to me looks he gives Fedor alot more trouble than Bret Rogers seeing Rogers seems less of the threat on the ground

Carwin also seems to be more wellrounded than Rogers giving Shanes grappling backround

If Fedor fights Barnett in japan...whos gonna take it serious?

    thread is troof

Much rather see Fedor stand with an elite MT striker and a street brawler than a bunch of wrestlers.

The massive and only appeal of Fedor coming to the UFC is that everyone wants to see Lesnar get his shit pushed in after his post-fight antics to the crowd in his last fight.

The Toronto Argonauts and the Calgary Stampeders are way ahead of the Minnesota Vikings in CFL title contention.

Also, how does beating Arlovski put somebody higher up than Lesnar?

Overeem and Barnett wouldn't stand a chance against Lesnar or Carwin. And if Barnett could stay off of steroids, I'd like to see a rematch with Couture.

He should step up and fight them, and prove it.

Kongo is a far better kickboxer than Arlovski, and Arlovski was controlling the fight with Fedor until he got stupid and went for the flying knee. If Kongo could learn some takedown defense, he'd be a strong opponent.

Sure, because he won't be able to pull off a first round arm bar against guys like Carwin and Lesnar.

Or want to see Fedor get his shit pushed in by Lesnar.

I dont think Fedor is gonna try and stand with Rogers or Overeem. Sure in 2003 when Alistar was 23, Chuck KO'd Overeem after weathering a small storm....but i dont think Fedor will have the same luck with the new Alistar. And Rogers is 6'5 weighs in at 265 with no ground game with ultra heavy hands. You think Fedor wants to trade punches with that

Fedor would rape the takedown if he even felt slightly in trouble. I mean his a world top judo player and sambo guy. You can't learn to stay on your feet in a few months of training :p

True. Kongo showed in the Velazquez fight that he can't punch or kick his way out of a takedown.

If Lesnar wants to be considered by anyone other then Joe_Cool as the best HW in the world he needs to beat the best and the best is Fedor. Im sure it wont be tough for Brock to get a Strikeforce contract.

he's tested clean before against buentello

especially with such scrutiny, i wouldn't imagine him testing positive
for business purposes, fedor has no reason to sign with the UFC, and brock has no incentives to sign with strikeforce at the moment. all other arguments otherwise are purely speculative
