    Hey guys,

i'm trying to find a proper/effective diet for myself but it's really hard to find one because i'm a strict vegetarian. I know there's tons of diets out there for vegetarians but i wanted to know what other fellow OT vegetarians have for their diet. I'm essentially trying to lose fat - yes diet and exercise but i can find a good exercise but the thing that always messes me up is the diet.

now i'm the type of vegetarian that doesnt eat fish/chicken/eggs etc. I know a lot of sites - such as the bally total fitness challenge site considers these meats as vegetarian food but they are not for me.

so fellow OT Vegans - what is your diet like?

    Thanks Guys :wavey:

Same stuff as everyone. 1g/lb of protein, get your EFAs (which is why you should eat fish or at least fish oil otherwise I really don't know, the ALA from plant is almost useless but it's still the best you can do, so flax, flax oil and so on) and aim at a certain caloric goal. Play around with carbs/fat so that you get to your caloric goal (ie : sufficient to sustain the fat loss you want).

You're going to have to eat lots of tempeh, seitan, beans and others.
    Do you eat dairy ?

I do pretty much what Andrew said. It's not hard at all. Use Fitday and play around until you have something good. I've never had fish in my life but final broke down and started taking fish oil pills.
