Thanks. Yeah, I didn't see much work going on with the bridge.

D80. Most of the shots were with my Sigma 10-20.

you use a tripod for the caesars pics? I remember the lighting being pretty dim in there when I was there about a month ago.

I think I used a sign for support on the first one (and some of the others in my flickr account), but the rest were hand held. I did bring a monopod along, but I didn't feel like dragging it around the Strip.

The lighting was VERY dim, exif is intact so you can see my ISO was as high as I wanted to go with Nikon, no greater than 800.

    Nice shots.

Not a fan of HDR at all.

Look at the Hoover Dam picture. It's the bypass that they're building so traffic isn't so bad on the dam. And probably for security reasons too.

I like the HDR pic but I would like it better with less sky. Rule of thirds.

Nah, nightclubs aren't my thing. We just sat with the blue hairs at the penny slots all night.

  18. SWEET shots of the sculptures, I don't know what's up with your foot though. I always wanted to be able to take pictures like that.

I really like the HDR shot the best. The others are really good and it is nice to know you are using a D80 (so am I). I am looking for a wide angle lens next after a film scanner.

Care to share any of the HDR processing tips? I would like to try my hand at it.

Sick. I'm leaving this Thursday to go to Vegas. I have a 10-20 Sigma, the only difference is that it'll be attached to a Canon 40D.

No, it's super secret. Whatever you do, don't Google HDR. :nono:

Seriously, all I did was bracket 3 pictures at I think EV -0.7, 0, and +0.7.
Then used Phtomatix to merge and Tone Map them.
