Vbulletin forum hosting

  1. Is it best to run vbulletin on a dedicated server or can it work on a shared hosting plan?

It will run on any plan that has PHP and MySQL. Deciding which hosting deal to get depends on your traffic. If you're just starting out and have a low amount of traffic, a shared plan is perfect for you.

There probably is a good reason for it, mostly traffic. Any site similar to OT in traffic must run off of a dedicated server.
