MMA rules, obviously Sapp. If Valuev trained takedown defence for a while, he would be a force to be reckoned with. Check out the power on some of his KO punches, there are vids on youtube.

Did anyone see the Valuev fight? He can BARELY box and got knocked down (glove touched) in the first round buy a marginal boxer 100lbs smaller than him. He looked terrible. He's very weak for his size and about as athletic as toeshoes.

How many pride and K1 fights did Sapp win? Sapp would destory him.

I'd still pay 40$ to see it though.

honestly, valuev is a better boxer than bob sapp, hong man choi, or any of the other freakshows I have seen lately in K-1 or Pride. He actually had some nice jabs and crosses and threw some nice combos from the vids I've seen. I wouldn't exactly say he is weak for his size, his jabs have some power behind them and he shows good technique while throwing them. But yeah, he is overated though but I wouldn't go as far as saying hes horrible.

Sapp is certainly the less skilled boxer, but he is just so strong. Maybe that would be nullified on a guy closer to his weight, but his sloppy haymakers just look shockingly powerful.

  6. I watched a few vids of him. They all were boring. Smaller fighters fighting was more excitiing with fast strikes.

    post some vids pls.

    this was alright.

That'll prbably be the only Valuev fight you find, that was the first time he was televised as far as I know.

But seriously, how does lurch stop this:

Nikolai Valuev would be completely destroyed by virtually any heavyweight that's ever fought in K1, Pride, UFC, shit anything above a bar fight lol. with MMA rules why would you think Valuev would stand a chance against Sapp? I'm no Sapp fan that's for sure but wow that doesn't even seem fair. IMO
