Since I got my liscense I've been driving my mothers 82' Mercedes 380sl. It's a nice car for it's age, but I've convinced her to sell it and get something more affordable for us. I was hoping to get OTs opinions on it's value. I got the Kelly BB value, but since this is an older car I wanted a more human response.

The convertible top has 2 rips and the top, but it is patchable. he hard top is flawless.

The car is mechanically sound other than it needing a new rigth camshaft in the future sometime (runs fine now).

There is some rust and small dent on the right back corner.

    Thanks.

maybe $1000. No one is gonna want that thing. Not to mention KBB doesn't even go back as far as 1982.

The 85' trade in value is 3,150 and private party is around 4,900.

yeah, uh, good luck getting someone to pay that... Especially with rust. If you can rip someone off that bad, then, well, power to ya.

It's a tiny amount of rust on the front right fender.
