Saw this last night in a sneak.

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. Cruise did a fairly decent job, but again it was Cruise the whole movie.

The structure, characters, and scene flow was very well done! There were moments where I was on the edge of my seat.

I recommend this movie just for entertainment value alone.

I can't take tom cruise seriously.

Even more so I can't take tom cruise seriously in an eye patch.

And it's sad because I've liked some of his previous work....i'll probably see this at some point but not in the theater.

yeah when i saw the trailer i thought... wow this is going to be one incredible movie... if it didn't star cruise with an eyepatch. whoever the fuck decided to cast him as a nazi in a ww2 movie should be shot.

well he was the last samurai, he does what he wants.

I think he had a big part in the production and completion this movie, if I remember correctly.

Valkyrie actually looks interesting to me. I don't really like his movies. The only Cruise movies I really liked were Top Gun, the first Mission Impossible, and A Few Good Men. But now, I feel like I can become a fan of his movies again after watching the trailer for Valkyrie.

I probably will skip this one because of Cruise, although I did like him in Tropic Thunder.

I've been told by friends who saw it that it is good, the story is interesting, etc.....but it's much better as a rental.

i think people got caught up in his off-screen bs to the point that now they dont like him.

Cruise is a raging douche which makes me not want to see anything he's in, but I kinda sorta want to see this.

And oddly enough, Collateral, which he stars in, is one of my favorite movies. And he was awesome in Tropical Thunder. Seems he's only bearable when he's pretending to be someone other than Tom Cruise.

I want to dislike Tom Cruise because he seems to be a lunatic IRL, but I usually enjoy his movies.

I saw it the other day and I really enjoyed it; very well done. If you skip this movie just "because it has Tom Cruise with an eye patch" you're a retard.

Saw it last night with the wifey. We both really liked the movie. It's worth seeing in the theaters. The theater I was in was pretty full, probably just short of a sellout. At the end, there were several people that actually started clapping.

It's not a war movie, so don't go in expecting Saving Private Ryan to break out. Even knowing the outcome since it's based on a true story, it's rather tense through the majority of the film.

This is why actors shouldn't be such douchey fame whores. Guys like DeNiro, Pacino, even Christian Bale..they have the right idea. Keep a low profile. It makes the character they're portraying a lot more believable.

I liked Valkyrie. The theater I went to also was packed. It wasn't a Saving Private Ryan, but is still one of the best World War II movies I have seen nontheless.

I didn't want to see it but went with some friends who just had to watch it.

I was surprised that I liked the movie....was worth paying to see IMO.
