Well, figured i'd start the new one since the other one blew up way beyond the 25 page cap or whatever it is...

Good day at work today...super cute girl who only volunteers once a week was there today, I chatted with her off and on for about 2 and a half hours (there was virtually no patients to observe, so we were both doing busywork). Had a good feeling during the whole time she was there, we talked a lot, seemed to be having some chemistry. Asked about what she does with her time, found out she is pretty busy with school, volunteering, and work. She said she didn't do too much in her free time, no mention of a bf, just going out with friends...

She works at the local Olive Garden on weekends, I told her I'd come by Saturday night...I'm gonna try to gt her as my waitress, then if there is still the chemistry/good vibe, I'll leave her a note saying "call if you want" with my number.

That could be real awkward if she doesn't and you see her volunteering soon...

    How so?

If she doesn't call or anything, I'm not gonna bring it up at all.

I guess what I'm saying is, what do I have to lose? She volunteers one day a week. I'm always telling people to just ask out the person they like, as opposed to sitting on their butts waiting for something to happen. Why shouldn't I take my own advice?

does anyone know a god recipe for a banana pudding smoothie or milkshake? I've got the pudding, vanilla ice cream, and a blender...I just have no idea how much to use of each.

I learned that sorority BBQ events are tough to handle. 50 sorority girls, like 6 guys, and I'm by myself because my buddies bail. I knew one girl in the sorority who was sitting with only 2 others. Other girls were in there groups chatting away like rabbits. Asking to sit would have been suicide.

I love those kids, but seriously, 13.5 hours a day is a long ass day at work. At least it's good money though.

I'll tell ya though, I spent an hour in a half giving these kids a bath. 1 hour of that was trying to get 2 day old dried pancake syrup out of this little girl's matted hair. I seriously thought I was going to have to cut her hair. :eek3: But an hour of pulling her hair apart, literally strand by strand with this super strong conditioner that smells like Old Spice :barf: I got it all out.

But now my hands reek like old men and it's making me nauseous

Sorry everyone for the chocolate chip cookie torture. I started that mess.

Matt, dude, just ask her for her number and be done with it. No elaborate plan. No leaving your number. Just be like "Hey, I've had fun talking to you. Give me your number and we'll hang out sometime...maybe this weekend" or some shit like that.

    ****

Anyway, I just got done filling a crockpot with roast, carrots, celery, and rudabega. Has anybody here ever tried to cut a fucking rudabega? Jesus. I have shitty knives and it took me like an hour to do it.

But I have a full crockpot of vegetables and meat that will probably last me a week. :hs:

    Hey LP.

Gym was good. I retract all previous statements about the gym (it's actually a "spa" too). Pretty much did a round of cardio. 20 minutes on the eliptical, 20 minutes on the bike, and 10 minutes on the treadmill.

you're brave :eek3: I wouldn't be caught dead putting a piece of celery or rutabaga in my mouth.

    Hope it turns out well!

I have a super easy, extremely tasty recipe for pot roast if you want it :)

    Yeah, that'd be cool.

Roast beef and vegetables in a crockpot are probably my favorite all time meal. I prefer it to pretty much anything else I can think of. Even steak.

And rutabaga's are good. It's almost like a potato to me, except I hear it's a hell of a lot healthier for you.

    Yeah. Just light shit.

I did that last night, though, and wanted to wait until tomorrow to do it again.

Only going to do pretty much 2 days a week of that, though, and don't intend to get TOO heavy into it.
