what the hell is that and why have i only seen in it emails from people who work for the military (all DoD employees as well as soldiers, sailors, etc)

i did a google and got its some sort of closing salutation "very respctfully" or "virtual regards" or something. why is that used by every fucking person i get a email from?

    "blah blah blah

    v/r

MAJ blah blah, blah corps, USA

When I was ADAF, the only individuals who used v/r were those working joint, or those wanting to sound joint. I use ‘Thanks’ in my sig block, and I rarely feel the need to change it going up the chain.

    very respectfully

I prefer to use the whole thing because otherwise it seems like they aren't important enough for me to take the second to add all the letters instead of a v/r
