    Looking at a Defender.

Nice profile to it, any suggestions on similar fixed blade knives? I'm looking to carry this. :wiggle:

I'd love to find an exact profile of the blade, but with more of a traditional handle :)

buy who carries a kabar daily besides the armed forces? I fail to see why anyone would need that big of a knife for every day use. Just get a quality folder.

Everyone who concealed carries should only be allowed to carry a .22 by your logic then, right?

It's my privilege to do so as an American citizen.

Shit, I like the Army's M9 bayonet much better.

Doesn't matter, I got my bayonet and tossed it in the seabag anyway. KaBar > bayonet. Only the POGest of POGs used the bayonet for anything.

Edit: I found that knife for 70 bucks elsewhere. I might buy it anyway. I'm not a fan of United shit though :sad2:

the biggest turn off is 420 steel, that stuff is only adequate for like dive knives where you need something really rust resistant.

From what I'm reading, the decision for 420 comes from the ability to harden it further than 440, and allowing it to hold an edge better, at the expense of rustproofing.. sounds opposite of what you're saying, now that I think about it. I'll read some more. I really like the way that thing looks though, and I might shadow box my war beaten Ka Bar, so I could use another sheath knife.

420 is softer than any of the 440s and does not hold an edge better, trust me. 420 is what is put in basically every cheap knife.

Sucks. Thats a nice blade profile. I knew it was tainted since it's made by United. United sucks monkey wang.
