TAT UV Tattooing?

    I did some research, and this will be my first tattoo. Seems very safe, specialized work. Anyone know anything about it?

    It's not 100% safe. There are still many reports of people having mild to severe reactions to the pigments.

    how many reports tho?

    ive heard, and seen people having bad reactions to regular inks too.....

    enough reports that most shops won't do UV tattooing. There's always a chance of someone having a reaction to any pigment but the UV ones haven't been around enough to test them properly. :dunno:

    gotcha.

    this guy that works for us got some red done on his arm that swelled up and left permanent bumps. looks kinda cool. but was an unwanted side effect

    That's a pretty common side effect of red. :hs: It's the one color that customers have the most problems with.

    Certain properties like Nickle and iodine.... both of which MANY people are sensative to.

    I know I have to be very careful with that inks i choose...

    Mercury sulfide and cadmium sulfide are the largest causes of the problems.

    too bad it seems pretty bad ass too accent some tattoos

    thankfully i have never had a reaction to the reds. :xfings: i hope i never have a reaction to the inks.

    UV tattoos are silly anyway. what's the point of getting them? to be the "cool guy" that has a gay tattoo? awesome.
