so, i heard about this a long time ago and thought it was a joke. but it was brought to my attention again a couple of days ago. anyone know anything about this BMX-1000 stuff in "blacklight ink"? sounds like a good idea, but i'm kinda skeptical of anything that would make my skin glow in the dark... could be pretty badass if handled in the right way though. hm. what do youl think?

I think if you do a search you'll bring up several threads talking about UV ink.

i did a search last night but i guess i was using the wrong terminology. what i found this time was slightly more informative, but not quite as much as i was hoping for.

btw... you used to be on hondavision, right?

you talking about the tats that glow under blacklight right? I almost got one, but the tat artist said they turn yellow within a few years and stop glowing.

give him a year or so, his tattoo will get itchy when something brushes against it or if he's in the sun for long periods of time.

as for it turning yellow....yes its possible. same as when you try to tattoo solid white on someones skin, the pigment sets in under a layer of skin so you're seeing the uv pigment through that. it distorts the true color of the pigment
