The clouds open up on the northwest and it was toasty out today, especially for a Fall day.

I shot USPSA today and played around in Limited class. I usually hate this classifier but it's my personal best. Second String I did 10 shots, 1 reload 10 A's (10 shots within the A zone which is 8" across) = 3.47 seconds. First string was a 4.5 second run with 2 dropped charlies (C's).

Your allowed to do anything, and everything to your gun, including using a race style ghost holster. Well, everything except put Red Dot laser sights in Limited division.

But aside from the sights, grip tape and mag well, tha'ts a box stock Glock I'm shooting. :coolugh: Not too bad for a bone stock Glock trigger eh.

I shoot 2 glock 17's, a G35 and a G24 in competition, depending on what I feel like shooting that day.

This was a simple classifier aka "standards" COF. the furthesest target, if I recall correctly was only 12 feet away, and the closest was 6 feet away. You have to hit the 8" circle (square in USPSA) that represents COM to get "A" hit's. There are 4 area's that represent score, A, B, C and D. "A" being a higher score, "D" the lower score.

This classifer is called "Can you count?" because it's amazing how many people, in an effort to anticipate the mag change only shoot 4 or shoot 6 into a target and forget to count rounds.

This is a Virginia count stage, which means you get a Procedural penalty for every shot you go over 5, or if you forget to reload all together (I've also seen this happen, lol)

No, it was my G35 in Major powerfactor. All I've got done to it, are sights, grip tape and a magwell, and a chit load of reloaded bullets down the tube. Trigger is stock.

Here's some more videos from the other competitors.

This guy is a retired Army Col. that I can normally find myself squaded with wether it's IDPA or USPSA. Mark "two gun" Lisi shooting his XD .45 in Limited 10.

And this guy is also one of our top shooters in our area. He's the Trainer for King County Sheriff SWAT team.

Here's one from one of the Area's top Production shooters, whom also shoots a stock Glock, shooting the same stage I shot, at a different range. The "can you count" classifer. You get a better view of what it looks like.

I've been going to the local indoor range 2-3x a week with the P22 (and sometimes the G23) to try to get in a ton of practice. Finally bought a 1 year/$200 membership tonite too. Unlimited shooting.

My goal is to get into all of these competitions that I see AB13 in (IDPA, USPSA, IPSC, etc.) as a new hobby. I don't plan on starting until '08 though. I've got to get a bunch of things inline before attempting to dive in.

I shoot Saturday at Renton Fish and Game in Renton for IDPA, and then again on Sunday at Marysville Rifle club for USPSA. I'm going to shoot steel plates this Wednesday at Wades gun shop and maybe IDPA at Sams Gun shop in Everett this Friday Evening.

Your best bet is trying IDPA at Renton Fish and Game in Renton on Saturday because they have a good new shooters orientation class rite before the match. You can shoot and take the class for $15.

Let me know if you are serious and I'll let you know what you need. I may even have some gear if you need it. What gun do you shoot?

Some awesome shooting there AB13. These vids get me all fired up to get better and find a club that participates in this. Looks like a lot of fun.
