i fail to see why the USP is so beloved. I feel they are quality pistols but their triggers are absolutely horrendous. Sig and Beretta 92 triggers are much better options for da/sa IMHO

My mosquito & p232 triggers are okay, but nothing wonderful. The trigger on a friends p226 is nothing stellar.

    My 92fs...feh. Again, nothing great.

Maybe I'm just more used to my USP, but I love the friggin thing. If they ever release that new HK 45, I'll be quick to my gunshop to order.

I love my .45! I don't know what you've been handling because the trigger on mine is fuckin' awesome in both DA and SA. :dunno:

The USP has great ergonomics for a fairly large pistol.
However the quality is hit or miss, I have heard of lots of malfunctions, others with no trouble. They seem to not be able to pass torture tests that other guns pass with flying colors.

If they were actually reasonably priced, I would grab one.

I feel like this is the biggest problem. They aren't worth the price by a longshot.

Actually my main bitch with H&K is their singleminded focus on LEO/MIL and fuck the civilian segment. I agree the USP retails for way more than equivalent pistols in its category, with little in return but name recognition.

I don't have any problems with USPs in general, this was a parody. :uh:

so it was at least 200 dollars more than other duty pistols that one could argue run rings around the USP in performance and durability.

    I.E. Glock, XD, 1911, hi-power, etc etc

XDs, Glocks, HiPowers and 1911s brand new for $420? Where?

    And define "run rings around."
