is it possible to have some software suite so that i can share two seperate machines.. i have a dev server and a laptop docked right next to each other.. i dont want to use a KVM because i would like it to be seamless.. is this possible without getting another keyboard and mouse? i would like to go from one screen to the other.

www.stardock.com has a program called Multiplicity that does what you're talking about. The mouse just moves from one screen to another and the keyboard follows it.

You could just remote desktop into the dev server from the notebook and switch between that window and your others.
