I have the oppertunity to get an older nVideo AGP card with one VGA out for nearly nothing. Could I install that into my computer then also use my on board video and hook them both up to monitors and create dual screen?

    i don't think so
in the pc's bios, you can only enable one,.. on board or add-on.

Get a AGP and a PCI. Both onboard and agp wont work at the same time.

The only time you can do this I believe is with a ATI Xpress 200 chipset which supports surround view. But you would also need a ATI videocard.

    simple answer is no.

to dual screen you need a card that can handle dual screen.. most modern cards can.. you can probably pick one up for 50$

it seems odd that a computer would have both onboard and agp, not saying that it doesnt

uhh why not? Almost every low end OEM a few years ago had both AGP and onboard video.
